Budding National Speaker – Guidelines
  1. Prosthodontists to be eligible for registering for the Budding National Speaker are required to register for the conference.
  2. The participants should apply for Budding National Speaker before 15th September 2025.
  3. The applicants have to upload the CV as per the format and also he/she needs to mail the CV with all attachments to [email protected]
  4. The selection of the Budding national speaker will be informed to the concerned participant before 1st November 2025.
  5. Participants registering should have a maximum of 5 years or less experience (Teaching or clinical) post-MDS.
  6. The selection of delegate speaker will be decided based on the points received under the following:
    • Each IPS conference or convention participated after master's degree will receive one point.
    • Publications in indexed journals (PubMed, Scopus and Web of Science) will receive one point each.
    • Authorship as first author or corresponding author will receive one point each.
    • Funded research will receive two points each.
    • Patents and copyrights will receive two points each.
    • Awards in conference post master’s degree will receive two points each.
    • Awards in conference during master’s degree will receive one point each.
  7. 10 delegates will be selected among the applicants as an invited Budding national speaker.
  8. The selection process is completely under the discretion of the scientific committee. The selection of participants will be based on the hierarchy of points gained.
GUIDELINES FOR SELECTED SPEAKER
  • The selected Budding national speaker should prepare the presentation according to the central theme of the conference: Idea to Impact: Innovating Prosthodontics.
  • Please follow the general guidelines for scientific presentation.
  • The time limit for the presentation should be 20 minutes.
Presentation Enhancement Recommendations
  • Slide template – Please use your own template, no standard slide template is required. Preferably a dark background with a lighter colour for texts or vice-versa. Kindly avoid using too many colours for the texts.
  • Slide / PowerPoint Presentation – 16:9 widescreen format is required for all presentations.
    • The first slide should provide a conflict-of-interest statement for all presenters.
    • The second slide should provide the title of your session along with a list of all presenters with their affiliations.
    • Use easy-to-read fonts such as Arial and Times New Roman.
    • Use a font size of 20 or bigger.
    • Keep text to a minimum (6-8 lines per slide, no more than 30 words per slide).
    • Limit the use of animations, builds, sound effects and background music.
    • Presenter contact information should be included on the last slide, so that attendees may reach you should they have additional questions.

On the day of your presentation:

  • You will be informed prior about the room/hall allocated to you for your presentation. Make sure you enter the presentation room/hall allocated to you.
  • You are expected to be present 15 minutes before your presentation.
  • An audience poll will be done and based on the feedback from judges and audience the best Budding national speaker will be selected.
