Budding National Speaker – Guidelines
  1. Prosthodontists must register for the conference to be eligible for the Budding National Speaker category.
  2. Applications must be submitted before 15th September 2025.
  3. The application along with a CV should be emailed to: [email protected]
  4. Selected participants will be informed before 1st November 2025.
  5. Applicants must have a maximum of 5 years or less clinical or teaching experience post-MDS.
  6. The selection will be based on a point system as follows:
    • Participation in IPS conferences/conventions post-MDS – 1 point each
    • Publications in indexed journals (PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science) – 1 point each
    • First or corresponding authorship – 1 point each
    • Funded research – 2 points each
    • Patents and copyrights – 2 points each
    • Awards in conferences post-MDS – 2 points each
    • Awards during MDS – 1 point each
  7. 10 delegates will be selected as invited Budding National Speakers.
  8. The selection process is at the full discretion of the Scientific Committee and will be based on the hierarchy of points earned.
GUIDELINES FOR SELECTED SPEAKER
  • The selected Budding national speaker should prepare the presentation according to the central theme of the conference: Idea to Impact: Innovating Prosthodontics.
  • Please follow the general guidelines for scientific presentation.
  • The time limit for the presentation should be 20 minutes.
Presentation Enhancement Recommendations
  • Slide template – Please use your own template, no standard slide template is required. Preferably a dark background with a lighter colour for texts or vice-versa. Kindly avoid using too many colours for the texts.
  • Slide / PowerPoint Presentation – 16:9 widescreen format is required for all presentations.
    • The first slide should provide a conflict-of-interest statement for all presenters.
    • The second slide should provide the title of your session along with a list of all presenters with their affiliations.
    • Use easy-to-read fonts such as Arial and Times New Roman.
    • Use a font size of 20 or bigger.
    • Keep text to a minimum (6–8 lines per slide, no more than 30 words per slide).
    • Limit the use of animations, builds, sound effects and background music.
    • Presenter contact information should be included on the last slide, so that attendees may reach you should they have additional questions.

On the day of your presentation:

  • You will be informed prior about the room/hall allocated to you for your presentation. Make sure you enter the presentation room/hall allocated to you.
  • You are expected to be present 15 minutes before your presentation.
  • An audience poll will be done and based on the feedback from judges and audience the best Budding national speaker will be selected.
