PRECONFERENCE TABLE DEMONSTRATION (PCD)

GUIDELINES FOR CONDUCTING PCD

For Faculty:

  1. The demonstrator should be an ‘OL member’ of the IPS and must have registered for the 53rd IPS National Conference.
  2. The OL members can participate in only one of the two categories:
    • Preconference Course
    • Preconference Table Demonstration
  3. All the presentations must align with the Conference’s Theme – “Idea to Impact: Innovating Prosthodontics”.
  4. Applications must include a CV and session proposal.
  5. Each Preconference Demonstration must have one course co-ordinator (chief mentor) and 3 co-mentors as a requirement.
  6. Both the structured abstract and Pre-Conference Table Demonstration details must be submitted under one of the specified categories:
    • Removable Prosthodontics
    • Fixed Prosthodontics
    • Implantology
    • Maxillofacial Prosthodontics
    • Esthetic Prosthodontics
    • Full mouth Rehabilitation
    • Digital Dentistry and Prosthodontics
    • 3D Printing in Prosthodontics
    • Temporomandibular Disorders and Prosthetic Management
    • Sleep Medicine and Prosthodontic Management
    • Practice management in Prosthodontics
  7. Session time: 60 minutes.
  8. Sessions will be conducted in small groups of 8–10 participants, to allow for individualized attention and interaction with demonstrators.
  9. The organizing committee will provide a table and a screen for demonstration and presentation to each team.
SUBMISSION AND UPLOADING OF ABSTRACT
  1. Structured abstracts should be limited to 250 words, preferably including relevant details such as Background, Aim, Objectives, Important concepts, and Topics to be covered.
  2. Abstracts must be submitted online only; submissions via email, fax, or hard copies will not be accepted.
  3. The deadline for abstract submission and upload is September 15th, 2025.
  4. The list of accepted Pre-Conference Demonstrations will be published on the website by October 15th, 2025.
  5. The scientific committee reserves the right to reject Pre-Conference Demonstrations that do not meet the specified criteria.
  6. Course coordinators and co-mentors are responsible for ensuring all preparations and arrangements are completed well in advance, including undergoing a preview process before the session begins.
  7. The decisions made by the organizing committee are final and binding in all circumstances.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS
  1. The participant should be a member of the Indian Prosthodontic Society.
  2. He/She must have registered for the 53rd IPS National Conference.
  3. Participants must register for the table demonstration in advance to secure their spot, as session capacity will be limited.
  4. Priority will be given to registrants on a first come, first serve basis. A certificate of participation will be provided to all participants.
